My mind is still a blur from this weekend but I wanted to take a few moments to express my gratitude to these men in this pic above. There is a lot that goes into an event like this that many don’t see what happens behind the scenes. (Ill put another post about some of those people that helped make this happen later.) I was asked numerous times over the weekend how did I get all these amazing instructors to come and teach and share with our students and friends . First off, these are my friends. Friends I respect immensely but still really good friends. These are relationships that have been built for many years. It’s not about a stripe , a belt , a gold medal or an affiliation. It’s about that bond that was built through trust and friendship. It is my wish that other schools try this same approach. In the end we remember our community and friendships we have built over any thing else. Thank you all for trusting me and I look forward to next years event. And let me just say this …… it will be another one to remember :) @rmajiujitsu

Today I had the pleasure of working on some fight scenes for an upcoming project with my 10th Degree and Master Instructor in Kenpo Karate of 30 years @weaponsacademy what a pleasure to continue to learn from him. He has been training me since I was 17! Grateful 🙏

This week some good friends of mine are coming into town to share some BJJ with me and my students and close friends of ours. I’m really grateful for all of them to come share with us. What can I say about this team. Absolutely incredible! They come early. They stay late. They take matters into their own hands. I literally go to the kids tournament today they held and everything is taken care of. I think after all these years I’ve been involved in martial arts I can very easily say what this school has created is something very special that runs like a well oiled machine. No words can describe my gratitude to these people , the ones behind the scenes and the parents. All i can honestly say from my heart is thank you so much for the opportunity to guide you and share my visions with you. The rest is all you guys. 29 years of @rmajiujitsu and it’s YOU that keeps this going. 🙏

Really proud of @hogg_jitsu for taking this Muay Thai team @rmajiujitsu and building it like he has. He faced many obstacles and yet he has continued to overcome them all. And now look at him he is hanging out with UFC fighters @jungleboy_naija and bringing them to our gym to learn from. Keep pushing sir. A peek into my world. I’m an open book. I want my students to get better everyday. Today I invited @dr_who_jitsu to join in on my private because he keeps beating me with his amazing butterfly game. So I asked Professor @rafaellang to help me. I have no ego. I want to get one percent better everyday and share with my students. It’s such a blessing to have students who are better than you at aspects of the game. Let’s go ! Thank you Professor Rafael for everything always.
